South Padre Island Golf Cart Rentals: A First-Time Visitor’s Guide

Start with the trips you actually want to make

Think about where you are staying and the places you expect to visit. Are you planning a few short trips between your accommodation and nearby restaurants, or do you want a cart available throughout the day? A rental can fit either plan, but your route should stay within the permitted island operating area.

A golf cart is not a substitute for every car journey. Isla Beach Rental carts must stay on approved island streets; they cannot be taken onto the beach or across the Queen Isabella Causeway. If your itinerary includes mainland travel, arrange separate transportation for that part of your day.

Choose a cart for everyone who will ride

Our fleet includes 4, 6, and 8-passenger options. Count the driver as one of the occupants and choose a cart with enough designated seats for your full group. A four-person group needs four seats, not four passenger seats plus a driver.

Consider your bags as well as your head count. Beach chairs, a cooler, or a stroller can affect how comfortably the group fits. A passenger seat is not a promise of a separate cargo area, so ask us about your equipment before booking.

Match the rental duration to your day

Use the Rates and booking pages to compare the current options for your selected cart. A short rental can suit a focused outing, while a 24-hour rental may work better when you want several separate trips during your stay.

Check the exact pickup and return times before paying. Twenty-four hours is a time window, rather than simply a calendar day. Multi-day rentals are calculated using the daily rate in the booking system. Leave room in your plans to return the cart on time and review the cancellation policy before confirming.

What to prepare before pickup

Isla Beach Rental’s primary renter and every driver must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license. Read the current rental policies, bring the required identification, and make sure the driver understands the permitted roads and restrictions.

• Have your reservation number and pickup time available.
• Confirm the passenger count and any equipment you plan to carry.
• Ask about guest pickup to the store if you need a ride from your island accommodation.
• Allow time at the store for paperwork and a walkthrough before driving away.

Know the difference between guest pickup and cart delivery

Our store is at 2809 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597. If arranged with our team, guest pickup means we bring you from an island location to the store. You then complete the rental paperwork and collect your golf cart there. It does not mean the cart is automatically delivered to your hotel.

Use the Contact page to get directions or coordinate pickup details. Before leaving the store, confirm the return procedure and save our phone number, (956) 772-7076, so you can reach us during the rental.

Build a simple island plan

Choose a few nearby stops instead of trying to cover every attraction in one outing. Confirm that each destination is reachable on permitted streets, check its opening hours, and use designated parking. A beach stop means parking lawfully and continuing on foot; the cart stays off the sand.
